Cathy Pousson has been teaching piano for 40 years. She is a member of the National Federation of Music Clubs, Oregon Federation of Music Clubs, Oregon Music Teachers Association, Music Teachers National Association, Westside Recital Club and other professional organizations. She has taught all ages ranging from 3-85 and teaches all levels. During her career she has taught private lessons, group piano, ensemble groups and keyboard instruction. For the past 24 years Mrs. Pousson has taught many students in the Beaverton/Aloha/Hillsboro area.
In addition to teaching, Mrs. Pousson has performed with classical, jazz, orchestral, instrumental and vocal groups and soloists. She has also been a professional accompanist along with being a church musician for over 40 years. She specializes in making piano a rewarding and enjoyable part of each student’s life. Thru creative teaching and performance, Mrs. Pousson encourages each student to discover their love of music and make it a lifelong activity. Developing a good relationship; knowing and understanding each student and being the source of continual encouragement serves as the basis for long-term study and very often lifelong relationships.
